Program Director

Reporting to the executive director, The Program Director is a passionate educator and tinkerer who serves as supervisor for all STE(A)M Truck programs. The ideal candidate is a rockstar manager of people with a superhero ability to manage complex projects. Specifically, the Program Director oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of ongoing programs including planning, organizing, staffing, supervising staff; leading and controlling program activities including site coordination and communication and data collection. Program Director oversees and coordinates volunteers and interns. S/he ensures integrity to budget through planning and tracking and supports finance officer with payroll as appropriate. As a member of the senior management team, the director will be involved in strategic planning, curriculum development, evaluation, and professional development initiatives.

Director of Development

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development (Director) is responsible for building and executing the organization’s development plan and implementing the information technology systems to support the function. The Director is responsible for all foundation, corporate and individual donor fundraising including any special events. Ensuring an impactful social media presence as well as harnessing corporate volunteers to further our mission are critical elements of success.  As this is a new position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development function from the ground up. The position is full-time and will include weekend and evening hours, given its interaction with volunteers and community leaders. The Director must have strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and fundraising skills, a sense of humor, a steadfast work ethic and the ability to grow this dynamic organization with a fast growing budget.

Director of Curriculum and Teacher Engagement


Reporting to the Executive Director, The Director of Engagement and Curriculum is a passionate educator who works to ensure STE(A)M truck staff are highly effective instructors and teachers at partner sites are capable of catalyzing transformation.  They help oversee the coordination and administration of ongoing programs including planning, organizing, staffing, supervising staff. This position also oversees and coordinates volunteers and interns. As a member of the senior management team, the Director will be involved in strategic planning, curriculum development, evaluation, and professional development initiatives.

Director of Operations

The Director of Operations wears multiple hats, and must be willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard to ensure that our organization closes an opportunity and achievement gap, both in public education and in the broader community.  This person must also understand the importance and connections between teaching practices using a maker mindset and building capacity of our partners to do this work on their own.

Employee will have multiple responsibilities but primary are:

1. direct operation and logistics of our STE(A)M Truck program while putting in the correct elements in place to scale, and

2. plan and build out the first Community Guild (place based community and workforce development).
