Who: Rising 6th-grade underrepresented, female, nonbinary and gender-fluid youth in the Atlanta area.
When: June 24 - 28th from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Where: Pittsburgh Yards
Cost: Free
Food: Bring your own lunch Monday through Thursday. Lunch is provided by STE(A)M Truck on Friday. Snacks and water provided Monday through Friday.
Application: Students are to submit a short video or audio statement explaining why they wish to attend.
Goals:
Increase interest in STEAM hobbies & careers
Increase interest in Maker hobbies & careers
Increase comfort using tools in the application of Math and Science concepts/skills
Increased feelings of empowerment to determine their path/career
Increase comfort transitioning to Middle School
