Damien is a 3rd grade student at a West Atlanta public school

He is interested in becoming an engineer when he's older, he hadn't considered engineering prior to STE(A)M Truck's visit to his school. When he and his class did the Bridge Build challenge he got really excited about the science behind everyday structures.

Students were challenged to create a structure that would support a person and span a kiddie pool full of dry ice... using only cardboard and duct tape. "Me and four of my friends walked across it, it was really strong! Then we tried letting the teacher go. It broke, but I think if we use more horizontal triangles next time it would be stronger," says Jayden.

The Bridge Build got Jayden excited about the next big project - the Two Day Build. When he got to choose between Stop Motion Animation, Beautifying the School with Art, Solar Powered Cars, and Miniature Set Design, he said it was a difficult choice but he had been learning about renewable resources in his science class and wanted to give Solar Powered Cars a try.
